Jurassic International Jamboree

Jurassic International Jamboree is a Dorset International Scout and Guide Jamboree - which is taking place from 11th August to 18th August 2018, bringing you the adventure of a lifetime.

In 2018, over 5,000 Scouts, Guides and Leaders from around the world will descend on Dorset for a week of fun, friendship and adventure they'll never forget.

Where is Jurassic International Jamboree 2018?

Jurassic International Jamboree 2018 takes place in Dorset, United Kingdom - Location: Kingston Maurward, Dorchester DT2 8PY.
 

Who can attend?

Members of the Scout and Guide section from around the world aged 10-17, we also intend to provide some activities for those in Network and The Senior Section.
 

How Much does it cost to attend?

Participants: £170 - Includes: Camp Fee, Badge , Necker ( A £50 non refundable deposit is required.)
Leaders: £60 - Includes: Camp Fee and Necker

Visitor Day: All visitors will receive an event badge and can participate in 5 activitiess
Young Person: £15
Visitors: £10
Leader: £10
Does not include Necker Which can be purchased separately

Staff
£60 - Includes: Camp fee and Necker (Self Catering)
£80 - Includes: Camp fee, Necker and Staff Catering

Jurassic International Jamboree is a self-catered Jamboree, all Participants, Leaders, and Day visitors please be advised to cater for all.

 

What are the transport links like?

Kingston Maurward College is clearly signposted just off the A35, three miles east of Dorchester in central Dorset.

Kingston Maurward College is easily accessible from throughout Dorset, we have limited parking places on site.
When you arrive, please follow signs.

Trains:
Dorchester South, Weymouth Avenue – Main line to Weymouth and London
Dorchester West, Damers Road – Main line to Weymouth and Bristol.
The Site is about approximately a 30 minute walk from these stations or about 10 minutes in the car.

Local bus services:

What sort of activities are there?

With everything focused on one huge activity site you won’t have far to move for a non-stop range of Adventurous Activities, Creative Activities, and Entertainments to suit all ages and tastes. We will also be providing some off-site activities along our special Jurassic coast line, and additional trips to local places of interest.
